Six dividers: (Apuntes, Bell Ringers, Classwork/Homework, Worksheets and Vocabulary) loose leaf paper and black and blue pen ink ONLY. If you turn in anything in red is an automatic zero (0). There will be no one leaving the classroom for the bathroom the first neither twenty minutes (20) of class nor twenty minutes (20) before the end of class, unless it’s a true emergency or has a note from the doctor to go continuous times to the bathroom. Attendance and make up work and time: All my Spanish Classes, no matter what level you are at, are based on cumulative knowledge; therefore if you miss a class it will be very difficult for you to follow the class. Participating in class is very important because it’s a way of showing me that you understand or have a problem with the subject. It is also weighed into the grade. Summative Assessment 40% All assessments that test a student on the required standard. Formative Assessment 30% All quizzes and assessments are designed to discover what students know and don’t know about the required standards. Learning Activities 30% All classwork and homework assignment designed to introduce and practice concepts. Rules and Procedures: No visible electronic devices that includes: cell phones, mp3 players, cd players, Ipod, Ipad, etc. electronic translators. If a phone goes off I will ask you turn it off. If I see it out I will collect it from you and you may pick it up at the end of the day. If you choose not to turn it into me I will write you up. The second time I see it, device will be taken from student and given to administrator. Student must pick up the device from the administrator. Please abide by the rule and we will get along just fine.
I am willing to help any student that requires extra help. But if I see misbehavior in class and lack of work during class I will call your parents and you will need to be tutored by another teacher. It is imperative for the student to seek help if needed. I am willing to help them as much as they need, but they are the ones that have to come to me and ask for help. I encourage everyone that needs extra help to come, because there is no extra credit for you to do if you are failing my class.
