WELCOME TO MY SPANISH CLASS
Hello, my name is Monica Chavez Ryan and I will be your Spanish I, and Spanish II teacher this semester. I am so excited to begin this new school year and eager to teach you the language as well as some culture along the way. We will be learning grammar, writing, and reading and will have the opportunity to compare some accents from different countries throughout the semester. It is imperative that you are present in my class every day because there is so much material to cover and to practice that it is very important for you to be present at all times. We will begin with a brief review of Spanish I for my Spanish II students and immediately continue with Spanish II. My Spanish I students, I am looking forward to teaching you a new language and growing academically together in this new adventure. If your child finds himself/herself not understanding the review of Spanish I / Spanish II, I suggest immediate after school tutorial. Please do not wait until the middle of the semester when you feel totally lost. Act immediately and get the help you need so you could get caught up and run a smooth semester. I will be having after school tutorials on TBA from 2:30 pm to 4:30 pm. You must have your own transportation at the beginning since AYPYN will not begin immediately. If these hours are not suitable for you then you should try to be tutored by another teacher in the department. There is one requirement in order to come to after school tutorial and that is, to be prompt to class every day and to work hard during class hours. If you opt to be a distraction and a disturbance during my class you will have to find another teacher to tutor you. If you need to get in touch with me due to any circumstances, please do not hesitate to either call me after school or email me at: [email protected]. I will gladly communicate with you so we can have a better understanding of how your child is doing from the very beginning of the semester so there won’t be any surprises later on. Thank you for allowing me to teach your child Sincerely, Monica J. Chavez Ryan |
